Upon arrival to Split Airport you are greeted by the tour leader, Stana, holding your group name on a signboard, ready to take you to your villa. Transfer to the city of Makarska will take approximately 50 minutes. Before dinner at the villa, the group will be treated to a complimentary wine and cheese welcome reception.
Day 2 – Makarska Explore
Following breakfast, you will meet your guide at the villa before heading off for a Makarska sightseeing tour. Visit Vepric, on wooded hills nearby Makarska, the very entrance of the city where you'll see the Croatian lourdes shrine of Vepric. This shrine was built in 1908 in the natural cave surrounded with Mediterranean plants and with stream nearby just like in Lourdes. The shrine has a chapel, an altar on the square, confession booths, Stations of the Cross, an area for spiritual practices and paths for processions. This is one of the most visited Croatian shrines and a pilgrimage to one's spiritual journey. This location is visited throughout the year but especially visited on August 15th, the holy day of Assumption of Mary. The rest of the day will be at your leisure so you may choose to relax or explore the city. Before dinner, enjoy a wine tasting at the villa.
Day 3 – Medjugorje
Following breakfast, you will meet your guide at the villa to visit one of the world’s most famous Catholic pilgrimage sites in Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a perfect choice for travellers interested in religious history. On this tour, we will visit Apparition Hill and enjoy free-time exploring the village shops and restaurants. Dinner will be served at the villa.
Day 4 – Boat Tour – Brac and Hvar Islands
Following breakfast, you'll depart from the Makarska marina to visit two of Croatia’s most popular islands in one day. If you're looking for a meal recommendation (between fish or chicken) Stana always suggests the fish with a glass (or two) of wine.
Day 5 – Split
Following breakfast, you'll depart from Makarska and explore centuries-old Croatian history on this day trip to Split. Head along winding coastal roads and through the ancient city of Omis. On arrival in Split, enjoy the cultural and economic centre of the Dalmatian Coast. Traverse winding cobbled streets with vibrant cafés, bars, galleries and museums as you make your way to Roman sites including the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace.
Day 6 – Trogir
Following breakfast , you'll journey on a day trip to discover Baroque, Renaissance and Romanesque architecture in the city of Trogir. Trogir is a historic town and harbour on the Adriatic coast in Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. The city of Trogir is situated on a small island between the Croatian mainland and the island of Ciovo. Since 1997, the historic centre of Trogir has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Day 7 – Krka National Park, Wine tasting
Following breakfast, you'll head off on a day trip to explore the Krka National Park and discover the splendid Krka Waterfalls. Head deep into the Krka National Park, a haven of clean air, warm waters and untouched wilderness. During your free time, explore winding walking trails through dense forest, swim in the calm lagoons and soak up the silence and wine tasting.
Day 8 – Mostar
Following breakfast you'll enjoy a day trip to Mostar. Discover remarkable monuments, visit traditional bazaars and experience the charming mix of cultures on this exciting excursion through the city of Mostar. The city is remarkable for its buildings and monuments, which merge in harmony for centuries, thanks to its geographical location and climate features.
Day 9 – Dinner at the Villa
Following breakfast, spend the day solo with with new friends to enjoy the beautiful Makarska Riviera beaches which will be followed by a farewell party which will include dinner, live music and dancing.
Day 10 - Departure
